PDR or Paintless Dent Removal, is a slow and laborious method of massaging the dent, encouraging the metal to be restored back to its original shape. The longer the dent has been there, the more effort is required. The size of dent, shape of dent, and its location are other key factors. Dents across multiple panels or crease lines can take significantly longer. Estimates range from an hour to a few hours.

If the bumper paint is not damaged, the colour of the scratches are the body colour, then scratches can potentially be buffed out within an hour or two.

If the scratches are deep, up to an area of an A4 size paper, it would take around 3-4 hours to restore the area back to its original condition.

Bumpers are typically made of various types of plastic, fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc whereas the rest of the body is typically made of metal, either some form of iron and steel, or aluminium.

This means that the work involved in restoring these into original condition differs.

We consider dent removal and scratch removal different works and charge separately, as the skills involved, tools, time, materials and sometimes the specialists are different. Our costs are different for the two sets of work, dent removal uses more labour and time whereas scratch removal uses more materials and time.

We use a photospectrometer to analyse the paint of the car and then upload the results to a computer, which tells us the exact formula to create the same paint. We then create the amount of paint needed, using another advanced machine, using exact measurements to replicate the original colour of the car paint.

If the scratches are not deep enough to engage fingernails, then the paint can be restored by sanding out the top surface and applying a fresh layer of top coat to the area.

We can fix car windshields if they have stone chips or cracks, but not on the drivers side.

We can also restore leather or fabric upholstery if there are cigarette burn holes, tears or other issues.

We can also repair broken, cracked or damaged plastics inside or outside the car.

After any paint restoration work, we recommend to not wash the car for at least one week, to give time for the paints, fillers etc to harden and settle down.

After a week, normal routine can resume.
